Book Testimonies

As I read for the first time the most awesome book . Daughters Of God  . Modesty Matters by my friend Jennifer Peikert, I was filled with joy realizing that I am so special, and wonderfully created by God Himself in His own image and that it pleases Him that I would dress and conduct myself to honor God. With those thoughts and feelings in my heart I thought of my beautiful granddaughters Jannelle (9 years old), and Jocelyn, (8 years old) that were visiting me at that time. And I thought what a wonderful and perfect time this would be to share with them about showing honor to our Lord. I talked to them about how God made us in His own image and made our bodies as temples unto the Lord to honor Him and we do not need to dress improperly, doing that could cause us to be a target for the world (the devil) to see us as trying to please the devil and not God. As I explained into more detail about the harm that could come to girls & women because of their actions, my granddaughters discussed about how they dress now and how they want to please God by dressing & conducting themselves to please God. At that time I asked them if they wanted to receive Jesus into their hearts and both agreed that they wanted Jesus in their hearts, so I led them each one in prayer and they received the Lord with great joy in their hearts, amazement in their eyes, and clapping their hands. What a blessing. Later that evening my little great-grandson Lorenzo (4 years old), was also staying at my home for a few days, and as I prepared them for bed, we gathered to pray and I explained that something wonderful had happened today to his cousins Jocelyn and Jannelle, that they had received Jesus into their hearts and he was truly amazed. I asked Lorenzo if he would like for Jesus to live in his heart and he nodded his head yes. So I told him I would pray with him and I held his little hands and bowed our heads and he received Jesus into his heart also. As we finished praying my granddaughters clapped their hands and told Lorenzo that Jesus was smiling at him and the Angels were clapping and dancing because he now belonged to Jesus and he said he was not afraid any more because Jesus was in his heart. All these blessings came about as a result of being filled with the joy & love of the Lord as I read the most wonderful book, Daughters Of God  Modesty Matters. Erma Perez
